Lead Cooks, minimum 2 years experience.

Skilled in using food service equipment including knives, pots, pans, ovens and equipment.
Ability to communicate with management, staff, vendors and customers. Ability to read and interpret documents such as training cards/manuals, order forms, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete routine reports like daily temperature logs and receiving logs. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to deal with problems and resolve them efficiently. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
CA Food Handlers Card required; ServSafe Food Manager Certification Preferred.
Responsibilities:
Ensures customer satisfaction through the consistent and quick preparation of menu items. Knows all menu items and its ingredients.
Makes sure all food is properly prepared to the recipes and standards. Ensures kitchen staff maintains ticket times. Checks final product before it is delivered to the guest to ensure proper preparation and plating.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment. Adheres to health code and holds kitchen staff accountable to do the same.
Makes sure the kitchen staff is in proper uniform and appears clean when working within the kitchen. Keeps all kitchen areas clean, sanitized and organized.
Uses proper storage techniques when storing dry goods and refrigerated goods including proper labeling and rotation of all ingredients to prevent food waste (F.I.F.O). Tests freshness and quality of products on a daily basis. Reports food quality issues immediately to Manager on Duty.
Possess good leadership skills. Directs, coordinates and delegates responsibilities to kitchen staff to ensure goal and objectives of the kitchen are met on a daily basis.
Must have ability to read and understand tickets.

Prep Cooks, minimum 1 year experience.

Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
A team player with good communication skills
Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
Responsibilities:
Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.
Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc.
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Perform other kitchen duties as assigned

Cooks, minimum 2 years experience.

Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
Ability to follow all sanitation procedures

Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
Ensure presentation meets standards
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Check quality of ingredients
